Benoit Dostie is a full professor with HEC Montréal’s Department of Applied Economics and holds the Power Corporation of Canada Chair in Employer-Employee Dynamics, Earnings and Benefits

The mission of the Chair is to strengthen knowledge on the determinants of compensation (salary, work hours, and benefits including insurance and pension plans) and how company results are affected by these choices.

The Chair’s activities target two cross-cutting areas of research. The first is on the role that pension plans and other benefits play as part of employee compensation. The second is on the determinants of older persons participating in the job market and the effects this has on their savings needs.
